Prof. Shoval's main research interests are urban geography and planning, urban tourism and the implementation of advanced tracking technologies in various areas of spatial research such as tourism and urban studies and medicine. Over the years the published over one hundred other scientific publications. Prof. Shoval has collaborated in several international research projects, for example: visitors' activities in Port Aventura Theme Park in the Costa Dorada of Spain, tourist time space activities Hong Kong and recently time space activities of cruise passengers in Palermo, Sicily.
